Finally!

The storm blew in and the snow fell. Liam stared out the window watching the white flakes fall and create a beautiful white blanket in the yard. He asked over and over to go "OUTSIDE, Peas Mommy, Outside". Obviously it was too cold at the time but you try explaining that to a 22 month old.

Saturday my husband went hunting and Liam and I watched Lion King and Shrek and did laundry. I was in between loads, surfing facebook and "liking" everyone's kids-in-snow-pictures and it dawned on me to get off the couch, bundle Liam up and venture out to play in the untouched snow and capture my own memories.

He LOVED it...after he realized he had to leave his gloves on of course. Some people talked about their little ones seeing the snow for the first time and not being too sure about it. Not Liam he stood there, looked around and started kicking the snow and riding his John Deere Gator (toy version of course...we're not made of money) around the yard. He chased the dog around and discovered the joy of throwing himself in to the snow. What an amazing day we had. I loved every second of it and seeing that joy in his face is a memory I'll treasure forever. And I'll always have the pictures to look back at!

Snow Day

We finally got our first real snow. It went from 56° on Wednesday to 16° on Thursday and 3 inches of snow. That's the crazy weather for you here in Illinois. But we wouldn't have it any other way. Just when your sick of the dog days of summer winter blows in and when you've just about had enough of coats, boots, hats, gloves, scarves, and snow spring blooms.

I think we have the best of both worlds. We get to run around in shorts and tanks (not me of course) and enjoy baseball games and water balloon fights but we also get to enjoy what snow days bring...hot chocolate, snowballs and peaceful days together as a family.

My son who is 22 month old now (tear, where does the time go?) just stood at the window in awe of the falling snow and I was blessed enough to be there to witness such a beautiful moment through his little eyes.

Bennett Family

I have known this family for over half my life. They are beautiful people inside and out. I have many fond memories of days spent with them on the farm or cuddled on the couch watching movies or cleaning Molly's room while she sat in the corner reading a book so she wouldn't get in trouble with her mother! They are great people and I'm so happy to have been asked to provide them with a lasting keepsake...Thank you Bennett family.

What a year ~ Thank You

32 Kids, 21 Parents, a handful of Aunts, Uncles, Grandmas and Grandpas. Some seniors and couples in love. 2 weddings and 4 dogs.

What an amazing year! I have to start off by saying Thank You.

Thank you to all my supporters, Thank you to all my clients, Thank you to all my believers!

I have always wanted to be a "photographer" and I've always dabbled or pretended to dabble. This year I finally got the courage to take those steps toward making this a real career for myself and my family. I am still "new" at all this but I feel like I've made great strides. I've learned so much and each session I did, each article I read, each fellow photog I talked to made me better. I love taking photos and providing memories for others. Pictures are an important part of life and we don't realize how precious they are till it's too late.

I know I have a long way to go to before becoming "amazing", but I put in a lot of miles on that road. Everyday is new & I look forward to what it will bring. It's amazing how much I enjoy learning now that I'm learning about something I love. "Find something you love to and find a way to make a career out of it"

Sincerely,

Moooooore Teep

My son and my niece...two of my favorite people! These pictures were our Christmas gifts to family this year and they just make me happy. I don't know how you could ever be in a bad mood when looking at these little faces!
Since I take lots of pictures of these two, my sister-in-law came up with the idea to have a tea party. I love the way it turned out and my 20 month old son coined a new family phrase, "Mooooooore Teep"

An Angel from Above!
What a blessing this handsome little man is.
He is so loved and has two wonderfully loving and deserving parents.
Those eyes are going to get him in trouble with the ladies one day...look out!
